Rural Culture on the Edge The Porch at Ida Rebecca. Morrisonville3

Comments:  Morrisonville is another one of the many crossroads communities across Western Loudoun sustaining deep family roots. It has grown from 7 homes to a grand total of 12 homes over the past 100 years. This log and stone house was built by the Archibald Morrison family in the early 19th century, and occupied from about 1880 by Ida Rebecca and George Baker, who bore thirteen children and ran a blacksmith shop there. Today’s owners of “Ida Rebecca”, Kate and Mike John, are major devotees of historical restoration and provide it much TLC.
